Dean Tanella has been a member of the GunnAllen Financial team since December of 2004. At GunnAllen, Tanella established the Capital Markets Group at GunnAllen, and now serves as the Group's Executive Vice President. The Capital Markets Group oversees GunnAllen’s Venture Capital, Banking, Institutional Sales, Syndicate, and Alternative Products departments. Before coming to GunnAllen Financial, Tanella was the leader of Safe Harbor Capital Management. He managed more than $180 million worth of individual, foundation, family, and university endowments. Tanella would then later establish HarborLight Capital Management in 2003, an offshoot of Safe Harbor.

Dean Tanella has managed institutional equity and investments, both domestic and international, for years. He has also been a key member of several investment firms since his graduation from Harvard Business School. As a result of his years of experience, he has amassed a wealth of detailed knowledge of investors, as well as a multitude of investment philosophies and styles.
